Job summary

Qualifications

Two-to-six years of relevant experience in carpentry, painting and related trades.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be qualified under the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle policy.
Ability to read and understand building plans and sketches.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, wrenches, socket wrenches, tape measures, level.
Ability to use a variety of power tools including drills, hammer drill, saws, sanders, planer.

Responsibilities

Request work orders and advise supervisor of materials/services required for repairs.
Assist senior trades in project/repair work to further knowledge.
Communicate work details with building occupants and supervisors.
Perform general carpentry tasks such as repairing shades and blinds, shelving, restroom accessories, doors and door hardware.
