Job summary

Kendal at Hanover is seeking a skilled First Shift Lead Painter/Drywall Finisher to join our Facilities team. You will prepare, paint, refinish, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces across campus, including resident apartments and healthcare areas.

The role requires leading projects, coordinating with staff and contractors, and ensuring safety and quality while working Mon-Fri 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. A valid driver’s license is required, and 5+ years of relevant experience with supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years painting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficient in residential/commercial painting techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead painting projects and coordinate with internal staff and contractors.
• Perform surface preparation: patching, sanding, taping, priming, sealing.
• Apply paint, stains, and coatings using industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment respecting resident living spaces.
• Accurately document work in computer systems and communicate updates.
• Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and timely project completion.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members.
