Job summary

Building Composites LLC is seeking a Paint Subject Matter Expert to lead manual spray painting and support the automatic paint line in Moraine, Ohio. You will ensure high-quality finishes on composite parts and assist with robotic system operation and process optimization.

The role requires expert knowledge of spray painting, surface prep, masking and color application, plus 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or certification in industrial painting or coatings preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on spray painting experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Robotic painting experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manual spray painting operations: apply primers, basecoats and topcoats with professional spray systems; prepare, mask and coat parts; perform touch-ups and ensure coating thickness and adhesion.
• Support automatic/robotic paint line: operate and monitor robotic equipment; assist with adjustments to meet finish quality; troubleshoot with engineering and maintenance.
• Quality assurance & compliance: inspect painted parts for defects; record checks and paint usage; collaborate to resolve coating issues.
• Maintenance & safety: clean spray guns and booths; ensure PPE and environmental safety; support safe material handling and SOP improvements.
