Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Lead Packer for the 3rd shift at our Hanover, PA facility. You will conduct routine quality checks on finished units, cartons, and labels, ensuring adherence to standards on the production floor.

You will review production orders, perform packaging inspections, create case labels, enter data into SAP, and help maintain a clean, organized packing area. The role runs 11:00 pm–7:00 am, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays, paid at $24.53/hour.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow production orders to ensure requirements are met.

• Ensure accurate completion and closeout of packing order documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area; participate in 5S.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to supervisor.

About the Role

The Lead Packer ensures overall package quality by conducting routine checks and inspections of finished units, including cartons, skids, label placement, and overall appearance. Maintains a thorough understanding of quality standards and enforces them on the production floor.

• Review and follow production orders to ensure all requirements are met.
• Perform quality checks on packaging, labeling, and finished products using established standards (e.g., code dates, seal integrity, label placement).
• Inspect one case per pallet for assigned orders and pull the first bag of each order.
• Identify and report any quality or compliance issues to the Supervisor.
• Set up and organize materials and equipment at packing stations according to the Bill of Materials.
• Notify team members (packers, material handlers, machine operators) of upcoming changeovers.
• Create case labels, generate handling units, and enter order data into SAP.
• Ensure accurate completion and closeout of packing order documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area; participate in shutdown cleanings and 5S initiatives.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies and any issues affecting production to Supervisor.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 3rd shift, which operates from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. T he Hourly rate is 24.53 inclusive of the shift premium.
