Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Process and Packaging Engineer (internally Sr. Systems Engineer) to provide technical leadership on packaging and processing systems at our Minnesota plant.

You will drive lost‑time reductions, optimize process performance, and lead capability-building across teams with a focus on safety and cost discipline. You’ll partner with Engineering, R&D and Operations to implement continuous improvement, coach junior engineers, and deliver plant‑level

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field with experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement and loss elimination initiatives on the platform.
• Own system reliability and performance, driving productivity and capacity improvements.
• Mentor engineers and plant personnel to build capability.
• Collaborate with R&D, Ops and Engineering to optimize processes.
