Job summary
Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for our DuPage County, IL facility. This on-site role supports high-speed packaging lines and oversees maintenance across multiple shifts.
Starting pay ranges from $40.00 to $55.00 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime opportunities. The position is the senior level in the department, requiring extensive hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and a proven ability to mentor junior
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of maintenance experience in high-speed food packaging.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting without full electrician credentials.
- Experience maintaining and rebuilding packaging machinery.
- Willing to coach less experienced mechanics.
- CMMS experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; AAS or certificates preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high-speed packaging and processing equipment across a large plant.
- Rebuild and refurbish machinery during planned and emergency downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and fix them independently.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting on lines as part of daily work.
- Mentor junior technicians and transfer knowledge.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and log all work in the CMMS.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering on improvement projects.
