Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for a high-speed food production facility in DuPage County, IL. On-site position with hourly pay of $40.00–$55.00 and multiple shifts.

The role involves keeping packaging and processing lines running, rebuilding equipment, diagnosing faults, and mentoring junior technicians. CMMS experience and a strong maintenance background are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AAS degree, technical certifications, or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred.
• 5–10+ years of maintenance experience in high-speed packaging, co-packing, or food manufacturing.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability; no full electrician credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across a multi-line plant.
• Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and fix without waiting for help.
