Job summary
Ingredion Incorporated seeks an experienced packaging engineer to provide engineering support across multiple US plants (Bedford Park, IL; Indianapolis, IN; North Kansas City, MO). You will design and optimize bulk powder packaging systems, review equipment specifications, and mentor cross-functional teams in safety, quality, and process improvements.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and hands-on experience with packaging equipment (robots, metal detection, flow packers).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Experience with packaging equipment for bulk powders and liquids.
- Knowledge of GMP and safety requirements for packaging equipment.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems in facilities design and operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide packaging engineering support across Ingredion locations (onsite).
- Lead design, troubleshooting, and optimization of bulk packaging equipment and materials.
- Develop technical specs and best practices for bulk packaging equipment.
- Mentor teams and lead cross-functional task forces to improve processes.
- Support capital projects with equipment selection, installation, and startup.
