Job summary

Eva NYC is seeking a technically strong Packaging Engineer to own the end-to-end packaging development lifecycle from concept to commercialization. Based in Brooklyn, NY with 2 days onsite, you will drive timelines, quality, and innovations across internal teams and external vendors.

You will review drawings, kickoff briefs, determine formats based on formula compatibility, conduct testing, lead line trials, optimize materials, and manage artwork and color development while safeguarding brand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in packaging development, preferably CPG/beauty.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and testing.
• Experience with end-to-end packaging projects and testing.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve technical drawings for primary and tertiary packaging.
• Kick off new packaging briefs with suppliers.
• Determine best packaging formats based on formula compatibility.
• Set up compatibility testing and assess risks.
• Conduct transit and functionality testing of packaging.
• Lead line trials and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Serve as technical lead in packaging meetings with vendors.
• Manage artwork and proof release with creative teams.
• Own the packaging color development process.
