Job summary

A leading personal care company is seeking a Packaging Engineer on a contract basis (3–6 months) to lead packaging developments in New York. The role requires close collaboration with Marketing, Design, and Production to deliver packaging solutions that meet project goals and cost constraints.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in packaging development, experience with color matching, material selection, and reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in packaging development.
Experience in packaging color matching.
Understanding of material selection.
Ability to read technical drawings and AW files.
Knowledge of homologation testing procedures.
Self-starter with cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Own all technical milestones of Packaging Development, incl. stock packaging, drawings validation, and decor trials.
Manage packaging development timelines with PMs and vendors to hit milestones.
Write packaging specs, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
Collaborate with Marketing, Design, and Product Innovation to meet cost goals.
Oversee vendor relationships to ensure project visibility and progress.
