Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Kinston, NC, is hiring a full-time Physician Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team. You will provide patient-focused care across the full scope of practice, treating patients from infants to geriatrics and leading a small team with support from protocols and staff.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required (New graduate friendly!).
• Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID and other URIs.
• Perform minor procedures and suturing.
• Do splinting and general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review x-rays (over-read by Radiologist).
• Practice dermatology and eye care.
• Interpret General EKGs and provide emergency management.
• GYN care for adults and pediatrics; care for all ages.
• Occupational medicine and telemedicine duties.
