Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services for project locations across WA, ID, NV, AZ and UT. This role leads complex field operations for protective relay testing and commissioning in substations and large electrical systems.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, document data with field tools, and support continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 11 years in electrical testing with HV equipment.
• Experience with protective relays and substation testing (SEL, GE, Basler).
• Knowledge of safety, standard practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with relay test sets and data tools.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and lift up to 100 lb with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for HV testing and energization projects.
• Perform protective relay testing and on-site commissioning.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with engineers and subcontractors.
• Document field activities using digital tools and field forms.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Liaise with clients and project managers to communicate progress and risks.
