Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements and distribution center safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; good judgment.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships and lead teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills have to be demonstrated.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound operations and instruct employees on how to perform work, monitor progress and troubleshoot as needed.
• Design and maintain organization of yard operations, trailers, housekeeping and safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to security and safety rules; maintain safe loading procedures for shipments.
• Assist in budget awareness and pursue cost-saving process improvements.
• Lead warehouse associates, promote engagement, and empower problem-solving.
• Investigate shipping errors with team to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
• Schedule team hours for peak periods and efficiency.
• Protect assets and ensure equipment is used and maintained properly.
• Lead efficient processing of outbound orders and related tasks (UPS, Will Call, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
