Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles in Tigard, Oregon, is seeking a Lead to oversee day-to-day operations within the Operations Department, ensuring execution accuracy, asset integrity, and smooth cross-functional collaboration.

As a senior team member, you will mentor Operations Associates, drive process improvements, and shape scalable workflows to support rapid growth in our collectibles business while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in operations, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Leadership experience in mentoring or training others.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across departments.
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations in the department, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Coach and mentor Operations Associates to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality checks on asset preparation, including image/video review for auction readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and best practices across the department.
  • Act as a liaison with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and resolve issues.
  • Manage and monitor orders/submissions, ensuring proper processing within target SLA.
  • Track and audit inventory, maintaining accurate records and storage conditions.
  • Identify discrepancies, rush orders, or exceptions and lead resolution efforts.
  • Support process improvements, training initiatives, and documentation for scaling.

Role Summary

The Lead plays a pivotal leadership role within the Operations Department, overseeing day-to-day activities while driving process excellence in their department. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual serves as a key point of contact for cross-functional collaboration and is responsible for ensuring team execution, operational accuracy, and the integrity of all high-value collectible assets.

As a senior member of the team, the Lead sets the standard for execution and quality, mentors team members, and helps shape process improvements that scale with the business. This is a hands-on, detail-driven leadership role ideal for someone with a passion for collectibles, a deep understanding of process workflows, and a proven ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations in your respective department; ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Coach and mentor Operations Associates to uphold high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality control checks across asset preparation, including image and video review for auction readiness.
  • Ensure accuracy in all areas and processes in the department. Ensure team members are following standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison with cross-functional teams (e.g., Imaging, Raw Card Ingestion, Auction, and Logistics) to align on priorities and resolve issues.
  • Manage and monitor orders/submissions, ensuring all packages are properly processed and documented within the target SLA.
  • Track and audit inventory, ensuring records are consistently updated and storage conditions meet quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and escalation discrepancies, rush orders, or exceptions and lead resolution efforts.
  • Support process improvements, training initiatives, and documentation to optimize operations as the team scales.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in operations, logistics, or inventory management (experience in collectibles or e-commerce strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team setting, with experience training or mentoring others.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively across departments.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven reliability, discretion, and integrity in handling high-value or sensitive items.
  • Comfortable using inventory management systems and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Excel).
  • Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including standing, lifting, and reaching overhead.
