Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician II – Outside Plant (OSP) to lead a small crew and coordinate daily work. You will pull cables through underground duct systems and assist in pipe placement, while ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained on site.

You will guide inspections, oversee radios/air monitors, and help train new staff. Prior OSP experience and the ability to read project documents are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• 1–3 years OSP or underground telecom experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of technicians and coordinate daily workload.
• Pull cables through underground duct systems and assist with trenching/hand digging.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met on site.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Complete required IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders).
