Job summary

Leone and Vaughn Orthodontics in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Lead Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing practice and help lead a high-performing team. The role focuses on clinical support for the orthodontist, patient care, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

This full-time position offers a $1,000 sign-on/relocation bonus and a compensation range of $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, with additional benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) matching plan.

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures, workflows, and patient care standards.
• Experience supporting, training, or mentoring other team members is an asset.
• Familiarity with orthodontic/dental software systems preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients, families, doctors, and team members.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient care throughout all stages of treatment, including bonding, debonding, adjustments, records appointments, consultations, and other orthodontic procedures.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to orthodontic assistants while promoting consistency, efficiency, and a positive team culture.
• Welcome and educate patients and families, build strong relationships, and ensure each patient feels comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.
• Maintain operatories prepared, instruments sterilized, and clinical protocols followed.
• Capture digital records including x-rays, photographs, impressions, and intraoral scans with accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the orthodontic team to maintain an efficient schedule, support patient retention, and contribute to practice growth.
• Maintain professional communication with patients, families, referring offices, and team members.
