Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ornamental metal and specialty glass projects across New York City. Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction project management experience, including ornamental metal or related custom work.
• Experience with stairs, railings, canopies, entrances, and decorative metalwork or screens.
• Knowledge of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, glass, and hardware
• Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and shop drawings; specifications and schedules
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Willingness to work across office, fabrication facilities, and NYC job sites

Responsibilities

• Manage ornamental metal and specialty glass projects from award to turnover and closeout.
• Direct and develop assigned assistants; set priorities and review deliverables.
• Serve as daily contact for GCs, architects, engineers, vendors, and field supervision.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Manage shop drawings, engineering calculations, RFIs, submittals, and samples.
• Coordinate embeds, anchors, and tolerances before fabrication and installation.
• Oversee field surveys, dimensions, and layout control for accurate fabrication.
• Coordinate detailing, fabrication, welding, glass production, and finishes with teams.
• Manage long‑lead materials, including custom extrusions and specialty glass.
• Track changes from design revisions and field conditions with senior review as needed.
• Monitor costs, labor, procurement, fabrication progress, and profitability for projects
• Maintain accurate records: minutes, schedules, logs, change and cost reports
