Job summary

Johnson County Government is seeking a seasoned leader for the Human Resources Organizational Learning & Development team. The role designs, delivers, and evaluates countywide learning initiatives, oversees staff development and leadership training, and manages training budgets.

The position requires at least 7+ years in organizational or talent development, with 5 years in supervisory roles, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Curriculum and Instruction or another relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in organizational development or talent development; 5 years leading or supervising others; 2 years of project oversight.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills; ability to deliver formal recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and improvement of countywide learning programs aligned with HR and organizational goals.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop development strategies.
• Oversee curriculum, workshops, e-learning modules and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with leaders to design development solutions supporting performance and engagement.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using metrics and data; drive improvements.
