Job summary

Community Surgery Center of Glendale is actively seeking an Operating Room RN to join our outpatient team in Glendale, CA. You will provide direct perioperative care, collaborate with surgeons and staff, and help maintain safe, efficient patient flow throughout the surgical journey.

Qualified candidates hold a CA RN license; BSN preferred, ACLS required, CNOR preferred, and 1–2 years leadership/charge nurse experience in an ambulatory OR setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California RN license.
• BSN or related field; or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–2 years of leadership/charge nurse experience in ambulatory surgery or OR; CNOR preferred.
• ACLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing, sterile technique, infection control, and OR equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to circulate and scrub a variety of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support clinical staff under the Director, including staffing, performance, training, and competency development.
• Coordinate daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Provide perioperative nursing care: patient assessment, education, meds, positioning, counts, aseptic technique.
• Ensure ORs are prepared, stocked, and equipment is in safe working order.
• Oversee documentation, inventory, controlled substances, and regulatory compliance.
• Promote quality improvement, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians, staff, and families.
• Assist with problem resolution, staff coaching, and other admin/clinical duties.
