Job summary

Adventure Dental, & Vision in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage assistant performance. This full-time role reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and offers a pay range of $19.00–$21.00 per hour with generous bonuses.

Responsibilities include maintaining the frame board, ordering supplies, ensuring patients are teched and scribed timely, educating patients on options, and keeping the practice clean and welcoming for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Experience in a vision practice is a plus.
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks.
• Proficiency in EHR systems.
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks on time.
• Knowledge of optometric software/databases and Google Docs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order and track materials/supplies for back office.
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed promptly; assist team when behind.
• Educate patients on frame selection and lens options.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable including lobby and restrooms.

Adventure Dental, & VisioninWichita, KS, isare currently seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage optometric assistant performance and proficiency levels. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Pay range: $19.00-$21/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis
• Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind
• Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time
• Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software
