Job summary

Adventure Dental & Vision in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage assistant performance. You will report to the Assistant Operations Manager and lead a small team to ensure accurate tech and scribing for patients.

The role requires strong communication, EHR proficiency, and the ability to train staff. Pay ranges from $18-$20 per hour with monthly bonus opportunities and full benefits including PTO, holidays, and insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus.
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in EHR systems.
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time.
• Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis.
• Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office.
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind.
• Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options.
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Pay range: $18-$20/hr
