Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision & Orthodontics in Aurora, CO is seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage performance. Pay range is $20-$25/hr, reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining the frame board, ordering supplies, and ensuring patients are teched and scribed promptly while educating patients on frame and lens options.

Qualifications

• Experience in a vision practice is a plus.
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks.
• Strong communication skills and EHR proficiency.
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Adventure Dental, Vision & Orthodontics

in Aurora, CO, is currently seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage optometric assistant performance and proficiency levels. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Pay range: $20-$25/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis
• Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind
• Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time
• Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software
• Bilingual a plus
