Job summary
MKS Instruments is seeking a Product Line Manager to partner with engineering, sales, operations and customers to translate technical capabilities into market-driven solutions. You will report to the Director of Product Marketing and drive growth by connecting customer needs, market insights, and technical innovation from concept to execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, optics, physics, or related)
- 5+ years in technical marketing, business development, product management, applications engineering, or related role
- Experience in optics/photonics is essential
- Ability to translate technical concepts into customer value
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to evaluate opportunities from technical and commercial perspectives
Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagement activities and build relationships
- Identify growth opportunities through VOC, market trends, and strategic alignment
- Evaluate opportunities using real-win-worth analysis (technical feasibility, business value, risk)
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and commercial teams
- Support proposal development and early-stage program coordination
- Travel up to 30%
