Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Lead, Assembler, Optics to guide daily assembly activities, run briefings, and coordinate with supervisors. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will oversee tool readiness, ensure PPE compliance, monitor line performance, participate in 5S audits, and drive quality targets while supporting continuous improvement. Shifts include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour options, with lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent standing.

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements for the level of the employee holding the position.
• Must be a minimum of Assembler II to qualify for the Lead position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a daily stand-up meeting at the beginning of the shift and review safety, quality, and production targets.
• Participate in monthly meetings to review training opportunities and staffing strategy.
• Monitor status of assembly lines and ensure work instructions are followed.
• Coordinate shift transitions, ensure tools and paperwork are current, and manage workflow.
• Lead areas, retraining decisions, and PPE adherence to maintain coverage and efficiency.
• Review hourly production numbers and complete end-of-shift reports for supervision.
