Job summary

Airgas located in Minooka, IL seeks a Lead Operations / Quality Technician to oversee plant operations, ensure product quality, and support the Facility Manager in safe, efficient performance. The LOQT will manage processes, review SOPs/P&IDs, and assist with operator training.

The role requires 5+ years of operations experience with QA, knowledge of safety programs, and strong troubleshooting skills. Occasional on-call coverage and travel for training are possible.

Qualifications

• Associates degree desirable or technical training (or equivalent experience) required.
• 5+ years of related operations experience. Experience within Quality Assurance in a processing environment.
• Working knowledge of Food Safety Programs.
• Trained on and calibrates analyzers.
• Performs minor maintenance activities; Maintains local spare parts; Performs minor PM activities.
• Understands P&IDs and can draw plant process schematic from memory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational tasks to ensure customer deliveries are not interrupted.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance work orders and assist with on-site contractor supervision.
