Job summary

Horizon Eye Care in Charlotte, NC seeks a Lead Technician to monitor daily clinic flow, manage staff assignments, and support physicians with examinations, testing and treatments.

You will coordinate schedules with the Clinical Operations Manager, train staff, oversee front desk operations, medical records, and surgery scheduling, and ensure efficient, compliant clinic operations. Strong NextGen experience and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification; COA preferred.
• NextGen knowledge or experience helpful.
• Ability to lead and guide clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily clinic flow and staff assignments; coordinate with physicians.
• Assist physicians with examinations, testing, treatments and admin duties.
• Train and evaluate clinical staff; participate in reviews.
• Oversee front desk, medical records, surgery scheduling and Call Center coordination.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration; report issues.
• Attend Lead Technician meetings and coordinate patient information and triage calls.
