Job summary

BD in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a Lead Operator/Team Lead to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in a highly automated environment. You will set up and run production lines, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure strict GMP-compliant documentation. The role requires team leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6 years manufacturing experience in regulated environments (FDA).
• AA technical degree with 3 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Team lead is the point person for day-to-day operation support and guidance and works closely with supervisor on issues that need to be escalated.
• Plan, perform, and make decisions regarding setup and operations of production equipment, including automated processes for filling, packing, assembling, labeling and inspecting.
• Conduct complex troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Identify the need for minor equipment repairs.
• Monitor quality per statistical process or control procedures and maintain documentation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for process or product exceptions.
• Provide training and onboarding support as needed.
• Lead special projects and interim coverage for a supervisor.
• Propose continuous improvement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
