Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a Lead Operator HSE to support and execute the company’s emergency preparedness and response plan at multiple plant sites. You will lead on-site responders, coordinate with external agencies, and ensure readiness through maintenance and training activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Indiana State Firefighter I/II certification.
• Indiana EMT-B or higher certification.
• Indiana State Hazardous Materials Technician.
• Level A suit PPE qualified.
• Confined Space Rescue Technician certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead/coordinate on-site contracted responders and volunteer emergency responders.
• Provide emergency medical care to plant personnel.
• Mitigate hazmat emergencies on site.
• Perform life safety systems inspections and testing.
• Maintain equipment and records for readiness.
• Serve as Incident Commander in emergencies.
• Oversee contract emergency resources.
