Job summary

Jonah Energy LLC seeks a Lead Operator to oversee a group of oil and gas wells, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations while maximizing production and sales. This role serves as a subject-matter expert across multiple well routes and may substitute for the Foreman during periods of PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-10 years general Oil/Gas field and Lease Operator experience.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, efficient operation of leased equipment and facilities.
• Perform daily checks and supervise well work as assigned.
• Operate and troubleshoot production equipment and artificial lift systems.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Train and mentor less experienced operators; supervise crews as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, accounting, EH&S, planning, land, and regulatory teams.
