Job summary

Dura-Line in Elyria is hiring a Lead Operator for the Garden Street site. The role offers competitive starting pay and growth opportunities, starting at $27.00 per hour, with quarterly bonuses up to 5% of earnings.

Work schedule is day shift, 6am–6pm, with a rotating Fri/Sat/Sun weekend pattern and 15 workdays per month, plus every other weekend is a 3-day weekend. Sign-on bonuses total $1,500 after 90–180 days.

Qualifications

• Basic math/measurement and reading comprehension skills.
• Around 1 year of equipment or machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to move around obstacles and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and measuring devices to ensure the final product meets specifications and to catch abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
• Ensure neat wraps on reels.
• Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
• Monitor print and footage and make corrections as needed.
• Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
• Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
• Assist the Line Operator during start-ups and support operators with cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and broken equipment.

• WORK MON/TUE, OFF WED/THUR, WORK FRI/SAT/SUN

• OFF MON/TUE, WORK WED/THUR, OFF FRI/SAT/SUN, REPEAT

• Only Work 15 days a month!!!!

• Every Other Weekend is a 3-DAY WEEKEND!!!!

• Paid Bi-Weekly

• Total of 84 hours for a pay period (76 regular hours & 9 hours of overtime

SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00

Requirements:

• Physical requirements include standing and walking for 8–12 hours, climbing, reaching, squatting, and bending; working in weather and noisy environments; wearing required PPE; and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move around obstacles and wear required PPE.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, reach, squat, and bend.
• Ability to work in environments with temperature variation and noise.

The compensation for this position is typically start at $27.00/Hour.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
