Job summary

Dura-Line in Salt Lake City, UT, is hiring for a Line Operator 1. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with a growth path toward $26.00 per hour through a structured Skills Progression Program. A quarterly bonus of up to 5% may be earned based on performance.

The role involves operating equipment, ensuring quality, and contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Basic math/measurement and reading comprehension skills.
• At least 6 months of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain safety, quality, and attention to detail in repetitive activities.
• Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.
• Material handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Physical requirements include moving around obstacles, standing 12 hours, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and measuring devices to ensure the final product meets specifications and to catch abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
• Ensure neat wraps on reels.
• Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
• Monitor print and footage, and make corrections as needed.
• Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
• Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
• Assist the Line Operator during start-ups and support operators with cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and broken equipment.

The compensation for this position is typically start at $21/Hour.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
