Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the primary design architect for automated test equipment on a NAVAIR program. You will lead IPTs, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with Government customers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of OTPS and STE solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of experience, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related field with ten or more years of experience.
• Extensive experience with automated test equipment used to verify performance of electronic modules containing digital and RF circuits.
• Proficiency in developing, troubleshooting, and integrating ITAs, test fixtures, and cable assemblies.
• Expertise in ATP development, with the ability to integrate TPSs into automated systems.
• Experience planning, developing, and managing project schedules, milestones, and budgets as an IPT Lead.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead systems engineer and architect for OTPS/STE design and development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deployment, integration, testing, and certification of OTPS and STE.
• Lead and manage IPTs, including SETRLs, PDR, CDR, TRR, DVT, and Depot Certification.
• Conduct bi-weekly TEMs to discuss progress and funding status.
• Oversee subcontractor work and manage cost, schedule, and reporting.
• Develop and review Technical Data Packages and deliver CAD files.
• Implement diagnostics integration, PLC, and self-test capabilities for OTPS/STE.
• Develop ATPs and related support documentation (TSRs, SVD, SBP, TEI, SOP, OTPIs, CMRS).
