Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to support R&D and test programs for a top defense priority. The role involves designing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems in a fast-paced environment with engineers, managers, and on-site technicians.

Candidates must have strong schematic reading, diagnostic tool experience, and the ability to manage competing priorities; ability to obtain a US Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Schematic reading and interpretation.
• Use of diagnostic tools and meters.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage many competing priorities simultaneously.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of electrical systems.
• Set up and conduct tests on electrical components and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
• Install wiring, control systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain and calibrate electrical instruments and machinery.
• Ensure systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Operate diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Work with PLCs and automation systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians.
• Provide feedback on design improvements and performance.
