You will own engagements from requirements gathering and design through development, implementation, and delivery, guiding client teams to resolve complex financial and operational challenges. In addition to leading client engagements, you will mentor junior consultants, collaborate with project managers, and contribute to the delivery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on OneStream implementations and support.

We are partnering with a growing consultancy to identify a Lead OneStream Consultant to join its team, delivering tailored CPM solutions for a diverse client base! This is an opportunity for an experienced OneStream professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with client leadership. You will take ownership of engagements from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, implementation, and delivery, working closely with clients to solve complex financial and operational challenges.

Alongside leading client engagements, you will collaborate with project managers, mentor junior consultants, and help deliver high-quality solutions across financial consolidation, reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead OneStream implementations, enhancements, and optimization projects, taking ownership of both solution design and hands-on technical delivery.
• Work directly with clients to understand business challenges, facilitate requirements workshops, and translate functional needs into scalable OneStream solutions.
• Design, configure, develop, and maintain OneStream applications, including business rules, workflows, metadata, data integrations, and reporting solutions.
• Apply strong financial and FP&A knowledge to investigate business challenges involving COGS, balance sheet movements, financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Independently manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and communicating technical concepts and recommendations to finance and technology stakeholders.
• Partner with project managers to coordinate project activities, manage deliverables, identify risks, and ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard.
• Troubleshoot complex application and data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
• Mentor junior consultants through technical guidance, knowledge-sharing, code and solution reviews, and ongoing professional development.
• Support testing, deployment, documentation, and post-implementation activities to ensure successful adoption and long-term solution performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies, technical standards, and client delivery practices.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing, developing, configuring, and supporting OneStream solutions.
• Experience with OneStream business rules, application configuration, workflows, metadata, data integration, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of EPM and finance processes, including financial close, consolidation, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Ability to understand financial statements and investigate business issues relating to COGS, balance sheets, and financial performance.
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering, solution design, and client-facing discussions.
• Ability to independently manage stakeholder relationships and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge finance and technology.
