Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction, LLC in St. Louis, MO, seeks a General Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities, including steel erection, concrete placement, and framing.

You will coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project completion. The role requires 5+ years in structural construction with leadership experience, a strong eye for detail, and solid knowledge of plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in structural construction with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, formwork, rebar, and mix designs.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and specifications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of all projects within the district, ensuring timely completion, cost control, and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently met.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, labor crews, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Enforce strict compliance with all safety policies, regulations, and best practices, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to align construction activities with project plans and specifications.
• Monitor quality control to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds project standards and client expectations.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly to minimize delays.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress updates, and documentation related to site activities, workforce, and material usage.
• Mentor and develop field supervisors and foremen, fostering a team-oriented, high-performance culture.
• Participate in pre-construction planning and site logistics to optimize resource allocation and sequencing.
