Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in healthcare, occupational health, informatics, or similar settings.
  • Experience with data management, data entry standards, and EHR systems.
  • Experience generating operational and clinical reports using BI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between IT (HUIT, vendors) and Harvard OHS to align health applications with workflows.
  • Serve as the main contact for system issues; troubleshoot, analyze root causes, and coordinate fixes with IT/vendors.
  • Lead change management for new or updated occupational health systems, including rollout planning and post-implementation review.
  • Assess information flow across OHS and recommend improvements to data integrity and efficiency.
  • Oversee data management, including accurate entry, validation, and quality assurance in occupational health systems.
  • Maintain and support electronic health records to ensure accurate, complete records and compliance.
  • Develop, generate, and maintain standard and ad hoc reports for compliance, surveillance, and leadership decisions.
  • Analyze OHS data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities for services and workflows.
  • Configure user access and roles; enforce security and confidentiality per policies.
  • Provide frontline system and workflow support to clinicians and staff; deliver training on use and standards.
  • Collaborate to document and update SOPs related to informatics, data management, and system use.
  • Monitor adherence to documentation practices; address inconsistencies with leadership and training.
  • Support regulatory and institutional compliance through aligned systems and data capture.
