Job summary
Humana is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Enterprise Observability Engineering team to design and evolve logging platforms across distributed systems. You will mentor engineers, drive enterprise-scale initiatives, and collaborate with SRE, Security, Networking, Platform Engineering, and Data Science teams to advance AI-powered observability strategies.
Ideal candidates have deep expertise in logging, open telemetry, and cloud-native tooling, with experience shaping resilient, scalable
Qualifications
- 7+ years in software/infrastructure with observability focus.
- Strong knowledge of logging, open telemetry, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, IaC, cloud-native platforms, and API design.
Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize observability environments.
- Build automation scripts and tools for instrumentation and deployment.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines with IaC.
- Mentor engineers and lead enterprise-scale initiatives.
- Collaborate with SRE, Security, Networking, and Data Science teams.
- Lead design of distributed systems for reliability and performance.
- Communicate insights to leadership.
