Qualifications

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience.
• MA credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams from NHA, AAMA or AMT.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Substitutions include: RN/LPN or comparable allied health training with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients in clinic settings and complete tasks such as obtaining vital signs and preparing for visits.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and lab tests.
• Administer medications under physician or nurse practitioner orders, including vaccines.
• Schedule staff, orient/train new Medical Assistants, and manage patient flow and paperwork.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure accurate documentation and communication.
