Qualifications

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with six months of related work experience.
• Medical Assistant credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams (NHA, AAMA or AMT).
• Substitutions include: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN/LPN) or allied health training with 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients in clinic and perform clinical tasks.
• Obtain vital signs, conduct EKGs, and perform phlebotomy.
• Prepare exam rooms, charts and order tests.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and labs; administer vaccines under physician orders.
• Coordinate care by calling patients with test results and scheduling procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in EMR.
