Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a lead Medical Assistant to supervise MA I/II in a multi-physician clinic. You will prepare exam rooms, charts, patient flow and assist with exams, labs, and injections.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training staff, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating care under department guidelines. A High School diploma and BLS/MA credentials are required, with 3 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience.
• Medical Assistant credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the work of Medical Assistants in clinical operation and patient care.
• Prepare exam rooms, charts, and directs patient flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and lab tests as needed.
• Administer medications under physician orders and manage return communications.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement activities.
