Parkland Health and Hospital System seeks a Nutrition Services Supervisor to oversee staff delivering dining services to patients and staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality food operations at Parkland facilities.

You will lead scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, while ensuring sanitation, equipment maintenance, and efficient workflows across Nutrition Services and PHHS.

Competenze

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have four years of relevant experience.
• Must have a certificate of completion of a food handler training course accredited by ANSI and/or TXDSHS or must obtain one within sixty days of placement.

Mansioni

• Selects, trains, schedules, motivates, supervises, evaluates, and recommends disciplinary actions up to termination to ensure maximum utilization of staff and opportunities for knowledge growth.
• Assures correct equipment usage and monitors equipment for proper operations, temperature control and safety; enforces sanitation and cleaning procedures in food prep and serving areas.
• Identifies and analyzes job designs, workflows, and processes for the Food Service area and recommends changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws, and develops internal controls to ensure compliance with accreditation and health plan requirements.
• Keeps abreast of Nutrition Services developments by attending seminars/workshops, in-service sessions, and reading professional journals; integrates knowledge into practice.
• Maintains positive working relationships with customers, management, vendors, and employees; may participate in committees or teams to achieve goals.
