Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Senior Nuclear Test Engineer to develop test methods, write procedures, and execute testing across prototype to qualification stages. You will transform engineering requirements into measurable acceptance criteria and generate traceable evidence of component and system performance and readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
• At least five years of hands-on engineering experience in nuclear components or systems.
• Experience developing and executing tests for physical hardware or integrated systems.
• Working knowledge of nuclear quality assurance and design-control practices.
• Experience authoring and executing formal test protocols and reports.
• Ability to interpret instrument data and investigate anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test methods and verification procedures aligned with engineering requirements.
• Design, procure, assemble, and commission test fixtures and stands for mechanical, electrical, thermal, and integrated testing.
• Plan and execute performance, endurance, environmental, and failure-mode testing; support FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Specify measurements (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) and ensure data acquisition accuracy.
• Maintain testing procedures, risk assessments, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Analyze results, compare with acceptance criteria, and recommend corrective actions or follow-on tests.
