Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nuclear Medicine professional for Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola to drive diagnostic imaging excellence and lead department staff on the day shift. This full-time role involves proper patient positioning, accurate parameter settings, and timely submission of high-quality images to PACS with complete documentation.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and ongoing equipment maintenance to ensure safe, efficient patient care in a busy Nuclear Medicine

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credential within 30 days of hire date.
• NMTCB or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine credential prior to hire; NMTCB may be considered in lieu of ARRT-N.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive diagnostic imaging excellence by setting accurate anatomic and technical parameters, positioning patients, and ensuring timely high-fidelity image submissions to PACS with complete clinical documentation.
• Lead and mentor department personnel by facilitating staff orientation, ongoing clinical training, and real-time coaching with input toward peer performance evaluations.
• Safeguard imaging quality and regulatory compliance by overseeing quality control testing, maintaining inspection readiness, and ensuring alignment with clinical regulatory standards.
• Optimize equipment performance and operational readiness by directing routine maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining a clean clinical environment for safe patient care.
