Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to order, prepare, measure and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Under physician supervision, you will perform and assist with nuclear medicine studies with a focus on patient safety.

You will follow federal, state and local radiation guidelines, participate in CQI activities and maintain licensure, certifications, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida radiology license required upon hire.
  • CNMT or RTN certification required upon hire.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire.
  • Nuclear Medicine certification/education required as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in care and maintenance of Nuclear Medicine equipment and supplies.
  • Sets up, adjusts, and safely operates nuclear camera(s) and related computers.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients.
  • Follows NRC, FL, and local radiation guidelines for radioisotopes.
  • Performs clerical duties within the nuclear medicine scope of practice.
  • Must be available for on call assignments as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure and pursues professional growth.
