Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist in acute care.
• BLS certification required from AHA or Red Cross.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification required; CNMT or ARRT(N) required.
• CT certification from NMTCB or ARRT required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and monitor daily operations of assigned patient care sections.
• Ensure staff orientation, training and cross-training; support performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with Safety Ambassador and PACS Recon liaison to maintain safety and accuracy; enforce protocols.
• Transport medications to imaging areas; ensure medication security and proper handling.
• Assist radiologist with procedures; adhere to radiation and medication management guidelines.
• Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine QC and patient documentation per policies.
• Respond to radiation spills and lead staff through cleanup procedures.
