Job summary

Pinnacle Specialty Group in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Lead Facility Safety Engineer to provide nuclear facility safety technical support for DOE facilities at the Y-12 complex, in line with 10 CFR 830 Subpart B and DOE-STD-3009-94/1189-2008.

The role requires BS plus 20 years of direct experience or MA/MS with 19 years of experience, with DOE-specific background. Lead responsibilities in 9212 or 9215 Complexes; citizenship required; Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in hazard identification, hazard screening, and hazard evaluation processes.
• Experience with accident and consequence analysis and documentation in safety reports and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with DOE safety issues raised by the Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility safety engineering for DOE nuclear facilities at Y-12 Complex.
• Provide technical safety support and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document results in safety analyses and requirements.
