Job summary

Radiant seeks a Lead Nuclear Engineer to drive design, analysis, and testing of the Kaleidos microreactor. You will own schedules, budgets, hiring, and execution of milestones with safety and portability as core priorities.

You will mentor and motivate engineers, work cross-functionally with leadership, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering a market-ready portable reactor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of nuclear engineering industry experience including MCNP/OpenMC.
• Deep knowledge of neutron transport and Monte Carlo simulation theory.
• 1+ year of direct reports management.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary nuclear engineers across safety analyses, core performance, shielding, I&C, and operations.
• Hire, lead, and grow a high-performing team of engineers.
• Own nuclear engineering projects end to end including requirements, design iterations, and analysis post-processing.
• Collaborate with regulatory teams on industry standards and requirements.
• Mentor engineers through actionable feedback and coaching.
