ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks a Nuclear Electrical Analysis Engineer to advance power system studies, lead design recommendations, and mentor mid-level to principal engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• MS in a relevant topic of electrical engineering is preferred
• Experience working in the nuclear power industry is preferred
• Maintains an active PE license or planning to obtain in near future
• Mid-Level requires 3+ years of experience performing electrical studies
• Senior Level requires 6+ years of experience performing electrical studies
• Experience evaluating large scale power systems following industry accepted electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, IEC, and NERC
• Proficiency in understanding highly technical topics in the field of electrical engineering using textbooks, white papers, and industry studies as basis and guidance
• Experience performing studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, equipment protection, sequence of operation, and transient stability
• Experience developing device setpoints for topics such as overcurrent, over/undervoltage, over/underfrequency, differential protection, distance relaying, or V/Hz protection
• Ability and willingness to investigate new industry problems and provide creative solutions
• Experience using power system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, EMTP-RV, or PSCAD
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Experience working in the nuclear power industry preferred
• Experience in power systems design responsibilities is a plus (ex. equipment specification, procurement, implementation, drawing development, etc.)
• Experience using scripting to manipulate and parse data using Python, VBA, C++, or similar is a plus

Responsibilities

• Electrical Studies & Design: Develop electrical studies and design recommendations covering power systems for generation, manufacturing, data centers or similar facilities
• Quality Assurance: Perform quality reviews for calculations, studies/evaluations, software models, designs, drawings, and data
• Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and oversee technical work and mentor junior engineers
