Job summary

KDFW FOX 4 in Dallas is seeking a high-energy News Producer to lead day-to-day coverage and produce both linear and streaming newscasts. You will guide a team under tight deadlines, coordinating editorial perspectives across platforms and collaborating with digital and production teams.

The role requires strong writing, content leadership, and the ability to manage live coverage of breaking news while optimizing distribution on FOX LOCAL apps and social channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications is required.
• 3–5 years of television news experience in a medium to major market is expected.
• Strong writing and show production skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment, and strong research/data recovery skills are required.
• Must be able to work under intense deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Show Production: Produce all elements of linear and streaming newscasts.
• Breaking News: Lead coverage of live and breaking news events.
• Live Stream Management: Produce live streaming coverage for FOX LOCAL apps and social platforms.
• Editorial Leadership & Collaboration: Align coverage across newsroom, digital, social, and production teams.
• Audience Engagement & Distribution: Distribute content across FOX LOCAL apps and social media with growth focus.
• Technical Integration: Use news computer systems and digital production techniques.
