Job summary

NBCUniversal’s Owned Television station in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, KXAS TV, is seeking a skilled Producer to take our content to a new level across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate writes well, collaborates with a team, and helps lead our coverage with timely, engaging stories.

Responsibilities include guiding writers and crews, working with directors and editors to boost production value, and making quick decisions for breaking news coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as daily newscast producer.
• Proven track record of booth/live event production.
• Strong interest in current news events.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate your vision to writers, anchors and crews to deliver dynamic, accurate stories.
• Collaborate with directors, editors and graphics staff to enhance production value.
• Contribute story ideas and make daily coverage decisions for the newscast.
• Adapt quickly to late changes and cover breaking news aggressively.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
